Introduction to Religion: A Special Day for me.
今天早上上宗教課,老師就把我之前給他的那32本因果經拿出來,
並問我要不要講一下這本經,我就說好.....
其實這本因果經是我寒假時候回台灣自己去林口竹林寺拿的...
為了找雙語...還問那邊的義工伯伯...那個義工伯伯人很好..馬上幫我找到近50本左右..
我好高興歐...我希望帶去美國給同班同學每個人各一本...宗教課的第二堂課我就把32本給老師...
剛好也上了快一個月了...最近在講Buddhism..
我就想到那本因果經可以幫助同學了解Karma and reincarnation
以下是我寫給我的professor的信Hi, Professor Brougher:
This is Chao-Ching Nelly Chen.
I have a little request.
Could you tell me the class of Friday about Michael Levi's movie.
Thanks!I have high interests to check out this movie.
You mentioned during the class but I don't know how to spell it.
By the way, last time I gave you about 32 books regarding Buddhism.
Can I recommend that you can give students after you lecture about
Buddhism?When I went back home for winter break, I went to one of
the famous temple to ask for those books.
I knew that this class has around 32 students. So I really hope
that each one could get one.
Those books are also about the concept of Karma.
That'll have a clear understanding about the Mahayana which is in
Taiwan for students after they read those books.
We, Buddhist, believe that the more people read those right books,
the more wisdom s/he will gain.
I do appreicate!

Thank you very much for your email. I will be passing out the books on Monday and I greatly appreciate them. The movie that I referred to was "An Officer and a Gentleman," with Richard Greer. 佛家裡有說多看善書並流通也是做功德....我真的很喜歡給人家善書看....
在台灣教美語時...我也給我的學生漫畫版的因果經....
希望他們可以讀讀....我的出發點很單純....
真的希望社會可以可以多點佛教注入...這樣我每天就不會看到那麼多讓shocking news...

我上課很喜歡喊英文口令:
For example:
當我說stand....
學生會說stand up.
當我說be.......
學生會說be quiet!
整理如下:
1. Stand up.
2. Sit down.
3. Be quiet.
4. Go back to your seat.
5. Listen carefully.
6. Hands down.
7 Hands up.
8. Hands back.
9 Don't make any noise.
10. Lower your voice.
11. Pay attention.
12. Listen to me.
13. Attention. 1. 2
14. Sit properly.
15. Ready ,go.
For example:

如何學好英文文法和片語??
英文的文法.....最基礎的是國中英文的階段.......我常常讀文法時把文法和英文句子做個練習配合....如:
Kelly is a good kid.
Kelly is fond of eating dessert.
Kelly comes from Bali District, New Taipei City.
Kelly calls me Auntie Nelly.
以上這些句子都是第三人稱單數.....動詞字尾加s or es.....
每當我看到第三人稱單數時.....我都會注意動詞有沒有變化.....
從句子裡面去驗證我所學的英文文法.....
久了....看到英文句子和寫英文作文的實力就會日益增加......
所以英文文法和片語.....都要從英文句子裡面去學習.....
這樣英文的點(單字)線(片語/句子)面(文法/會話)
原理才會有所結合其學習效果~~
